Stable Growth of Grain Production
In 2025, the state continued to improve the policy system supporting grain production, launched and implemented the inter-provincial horizontal interest compensation for grain production and marketing areas under the central government's overall planning, and fully mobilized the enthusiasm of farmers for grain cultivation and local governments for grain production. The outputs of corn and rice increased slightly, while the output of wheat remained basically stable; the outputs of beans and tubers increased steadily. In 2025, the national grain output (cereals) was 1.32041 trillion jin, an increase of 15.84 billion jin or 1.2% over the previous year. The total output of pork, beef, mutton, and poultry meat exceeded 100 million tons, reaching 100.72 million tons, an increase of 4.09 million tons or 4.2% over the previous year. Hog Production
Hog slaughter volume maintained growth. In 2025, the national hog slaughter volume was 719.73 million head, an increase of 17.16 million head or 2.4% over the previous year. By the end of 2025, the national hog inventory was 429.67 million head, an increase of 2.24 million head or 0.5% over the end of the previous year. Cattle and Sheep Production
